Michael G. Stone
Thoughts on politics, governance, philanthropy, humanitarianism, and the intersections between them.
Note from the editor

While evil exists, the greatest threats to humanity are apathy, ignorance, and ambivalence. People are capable of astounding feats of beneficence when they have the information and tools to do so. I know — I’ve seen it in my work as an advocate for nonprofit organizations on Capitol Hill, as a program officer searching the country for the best practices in social services, and as a fundraiser connecting people to programs that do the good they want to see in the world. With my posts, I hope to serve as a guide, cutting through the drivel and the nonsense to help people find the best way to spread compassion and conscience— both politically and personally.
